Circolo Fotografico l'Altissimo

Costituito nel 1994, il Circolo l'Altissimo di Querceta(LU), rappresenta la passione per la fotografia di un gruppo di giovani versiliesi.
La nostra filosofia è ben sintetizzata dal pensiero del famoso fotografo americano Richard Avedon che soleva dire: "Se passa un giorno in cui non ho fatto qualcosa legato alla fotografia [...] è come se mi fossi dimenticato di svegliarmi"
L' associazione cerca da sempre di trasmettere i valori e la passione dell'arte più celere; molteplici sono così state le iniziative organizzate in Versilia: dagli incontri con famosi fotografi, alle numerose manifestazioni svolte in collaborazione con il Comune di Seravezza e con altri enti e circoli, conferenze, corsi base per l'apprendimento dei rudimenti della fotografia, e così via.
L'adesione alla FIAF (Federazione Italiana Associazioni Fotografiche) ha permesso al club di varcare i confini locali e collaborare con altri circoli, singoli fotoamatori e professionisti.
Il Circolo ha avuto come Presidente Onorario il famoso fotografo americano
Walter Rosenblum ed ha come Socio Onorario il noto fotografo Giovanni Umicini
La vera forza dell'associazione comunque è rappresentata dall'attuale Presidente Libero Musetti il quale con la sua passione e dialettica è riuscito a coinvolgere tanti giovani e a promuovere molte iniziative, che hanno fatto ottenere al Circolo la prestigiosa onoreficienza BFI: Benemerito della Fotografia Italiana.
Con la consapevolezza che la strada intrapresa è quella giusta, il Circolo si augura per il futuro una più stretta collaborazione con le istituzioni e i cittadini per diffondere la passione della fotografia e promuovere con essa la conoscenza del territorio.

Who we are
Constituted on 1994, the "Altissimo" ("Very-high": the name of a nearby mountain) Photo Club of Querceta(LU), represents the passion for Photography of a group of young people of "Versilia" region (in norther Tuscany - Italy).
Our philosophy is well synthetized by the mind of american famous photographer Richard Avedon who used to say: "If a day goes by without my doing something related to photography, it’s [...] as though I had forgotten to wake up"
Since ever the organization tries to transmit the ideas and the passion for the speedest art; so many are the appointments organized in Versilia: from famous photographers meetings, to events in collaboration with the Municipality of Seravezza and with others organizations and photo-clubs, conferences, basic courses for learning of foundamentals of the photography, and so on.
The joining to the F.I.A.F. (aka Italian Federation of the Photographic Clubs) has let the Club to pass the regional borders and to collaborate with other organizations , single photo-entusiasts and professionists.
The Club had as Onorary President the famous american photographer Walter Rosenblum and has as Onorary Member the well-know photographer Giovanni Umicini.
However the real force of the Club is represented by the actual President Libero Musetti who with his passion and dialectics could make many young people join us and promote many events which obtained the BFI honour (Well-deserving of Italian Photography) to the Club.
With the consciousness that the way taken is the right one, the Club hopes for the future a more tight collaboration with the institutions e and with the citizens for diffusing the passion for Photography and promoting with it the regional knowledge.
